A general image is dangerously close to a stereotype. Pi Beta Phi isn't always like that, I know someone who is very nice and outgoing who is in Pi Beta Phi . Zeta: Less classy than Chi O and Tri Delt, usually girls who prioritize their reputation and their instagram pictures over everything else. Focuses almost only on GPA.If they focused a little less on GPA and more on looks they would def go up. Not to mention some bitter girls who didn't get in just like to spread misinformation to make themselves feel better. To stereotype any organization and the members a part of these organizations is belittling of what these organization were founded on. They are considered top tier at many schools. The sorority touts its diversity, but some say the standards are so loose that theres very little tying all Chi-Os together in terms of personality, looks, campus activity, or academic performance. I really am hopeful that there is such thing as a classy sorority, but I'm losing hope. Based on the totally appraisal of KKG, It reeks of favoritism and lack of awareness. Your class is beautiful but that isnt what is most important to some chapters. Okay so here are the real sorority rankings at UT Austin IMO Zetas PC18 is not even in the same league as Chi-O and DDD. Kappas are the rich girls some are cute but some are not, they basically let girls in who have financial means. Every one of their pledge classes is worse than the last. That thing that has changed the most is the KappaKappa Gammas are known for hazing. I am at a TX college and top tier is Kappa, Theta and Pi Phi. Kappa Kappa Gamma seems to be falling in their ranking some due to their wild, "substance' use, and 'easy' dating habits. Thanks! My fear is that rather than focusing on things you can control (conversation skills, brushing up your resume, getting recs in order, rush wardrobe, grooming) you are looking for something that quite frankly, you are going to have very little control over at all.

Quite frankly, very, very few PNMs will have much choice of where they are invited back to, or where they get a bid. Theta has more pretty girls and definitely a lot of party girls. Those girls that went AXD are beautiful And would easily have fit in with DG if there was room. Feel like their PC was the weakest. Depending upon the campus, Tri-Delts are either regarded as lower-end top-tier, or higher-end mid-tier. What should matter is that you choose the sorority that you best fit into and makes YOU happy. UT rush is incredibly competitive due to the high number of legacies and in state students who already have connections with the chapters, plus the number of PNMs who only seem to want one of six chapters. No one here should discuss sorority reputations, and certainly not name names, because frankly with over 200 girls in each house you really cant pigeonhole them that way. The friendships in sororities are unlike anything else and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Just like Lambda Chis for guys. This is stupid. Upper Bottom Tier: AXiD Find something you're interested in, but most importantly, just get a feel for where you belong. If you are coming to UT really raw, meaning no greek connections what so ever, you have a very large uphill battle. I have always been anti-sorority and wouldn't have been caught dead joining one myself--but I have changed my mind. I personally like Kappa better than Pi Phi or Theta but can see why others would prefer one of other two. In fact, today, someone I know is driving out of town to visit a sorority sister from twenty three years ago. For instance, nationally ChiO is "Make-A-Wish" and DG is "Service for Sight." The only girls on our campus who were involved in sororities were out of state kids that needed this sense of inclusion to fit in. I. the price is about 250 a semester compared to 2,000 for a sorority. Obviously it varies from university to university and chapter to chapter. Because of this, only the nastiest sorority girls will outwardly dislike a Delta Zeta girl. What they tend to lackin philanthropy doesnt seem to concern them too much. There are some sororities that are almost impossible to get in if you don't have a specific resume, as they have their list prepared ahead of recruitment. So just saying "sororities aren't my thing" or "I'm not a sorority girl" is dumb to me.
