Are you organized, or are you a messy person?
A person who is disorganized or messy will always be rushed for time and nearly always eating on the run. A person who eats too fast will tend to eat too much. ( Like I used to do!) When you eat too much you will get fat.
Being disorganized means you are a messy person. Hmmmm…..?
Your worktable is full of files or papers. Such clutter will eventually lead to stress as you find that things begin to get on top of you. You can’t find an important document; you discover that the deadline is very close and you haven’t sorted out your stuff yet. You may even panic and worry!
Then what happens? You find yourself being stressed out. Then you begin to reach for your comfort food! All your good intentions of losing weight go down the drain when you gobble down sweets, chocolates, crisps, etc. the usual comfort food. Right? But you mustn’t let this happen! You want to lose fat and keep it off!
That’s why you need to change from being disorganized. You need to get rid of the clutter and tidy up your act. Otherwise you will become more stressed and begin to eat more, especially the wrong types of food that will make you put on weight and become obese and fat.
Being organized means that you have the right kind of nutritious food in your home and you will also eat at regular times throughout the day. You will also have planned what you are going to eat so that your metabolism keeps on going and burns the fat, so that you will lose weight instead of putting on weight.
Being organized also means that you do your food shopping wisely, buying only the kind of food that will help you to lose weight in a safe and healthy way. You begin to look for negative calorie food and to plan your meals so that even as you eat, you will lose weight.
When you are organized, your weight loss program is more likely to succeed as you go about it in a consistent manner and not haphazardly. You will then set your goals and plan to succeed in your weight loss program.
One final tip and that is to distance yourself from people who are pessimists and have negative views. You would also do yourself a favor by steering clear of those who don’t offer you any support but instead, make fun of you in your attempts to lose weight. Such people do not want to see any improvements in your life and will sabotage your plans to lose weight. You certainly don’t need such “friends”, right?
