Repeat and Resist

These 2 R’s are important when you want to lose weight. Repeat and Resist- easy to remember and easy to apply.

When you repeat something over and over again, it will become a habit.

So when you exercise at the same time everyday, your body will adjust itself to doing this. You will find it easier then to exercise and you will begin to enjoy this routine.

In fact the day will come that if you don’t exercise at the specific time, you will feel restless and out-of-sorts. Believe you me, this is a fact. For instance if I were to miss a round of early morning golf either due to the rain or some other thing which had unexpectedly cropped up, the rest of the day is lack-lustre. After the exercise, you will feel so good and energetic and best of all, your metabolism is revved up for the rest of the day, burning calories.

So do your exercise everyday at the same time and you will find it easier to exercise. Then losing weight will become easier. You will reach your goals sooner than you think when you are consistent.

Get your neighbour or your buddy to exercise along with you so that both of you will enjoy the exercise. Besides, it’s great for bonding.

The second R is Resist. This means you must resist eating a big meal after your exercise. Drink lots of water instead because water helps you to lose weight even as it hydrates your system. It also flushes out the toxins in your body.

Above all, resist the junk food, for it is what they are, just junk, that will clutter up your system with unwanted calories and jeopardize your weight loss program. In fact it could be disastrous for you as the weight that you lost will rapidly pile on again.
