Do you know why you don’t lose weight even though you take low fat products?
It’s because more sugar has been added to them to make them palatable. Otherwise without the fat and sugar they would taste awful. So don’t be deceived by “reduced fat” or “lower fat” labels.
Our tastebuds have been conditioned to sugar so anything without sugar doesn’t taste nice and we reject it. The result is overweight and obesity as our diets contain more and more sugar. Even the cooks add sugar into vegetable stirfries, steamed fish with its gravy, braised or stewed meat, etc. Are you aware of this?
To protect our health, we should reduce our sugar intake. Stop drinking sweet beverages, commercial juices and sodas.
Get into the habit of drinking water. If you must have tea, opt for green tea. Stop adding sugar into your food.
If you are eating out, tell the cook not to add any sugar. They will usually oblige.
