Don’t be Stressed!

PeggyStress is bad for you.

Is there anyone out there who is not stressed?

The answer is obvious. All of us are stressed; it’s just a matter of degree.

The way we handle stress is very important because it can affect not only the quality of our life but also our appearance.

You can always tell if someone is stressed out. Frazzled looks, the perpetual frown on the forehead, leading to deep furrows,  the inability to relax, and also a touch of impatience with those around you.

Most of the time we stew in our stress because of work commitments and the lack of time to de-stress especially through physical outlets. There’s no time to work out, to go for walks, or swim.

Do you know that the accumulative stress has a detrimental effect on our digestive system? Our organs don’t function efficiently and we suffer from low energy levels.  This leads us to crave for sugary food (for energy) and caffeine. Do you notice that after a cup of coffee and a doughnut you perk up?

Remember though, that such cravings are the result of stress and this leads to increased fat storage around your abdomen. Abdominal fat is bad as it leads to diseases that we must avoid.

Bear in mind then that stress contributes to obesity and weight gain, so no matter how busy you are, you must make time for some exercise to de-stress.

I will share with you some ways to de-stress in the next post. Meanwhile, do get some supplements to help you lose fat.
