Not everyone believes in the benefits of exercise. Why?
This group of people believe that exercise makes them hungry and they will eat more and then put on more weight.
However it is not exercise that makes them hungry. It is the blood sugar levels in their body. You see, after a meal, your blood sugar levels go up and two hours later, the levels come down and you feel hungry. This leads you to look for food to increase the blood sugar level again.
When you exercise, it helps to normalise your blood sugar levels so that you will not get that hungry feeling.
What are the benefits of exercise?
Exercise gets your muscles working so that you burn fat instead of carbohydrates. So less carbohydrate burning results in a better balance of your blood sugar levels.
Exercise also raises your metabolic rate so that your body cells will burn oxygen efficiently and to use absorb the nutrients from your food more effectively. Your waste products are eliminated easily and your digestive system is improved. When your body gets more nutrients, it will not demand for more food.
After exercise your metabolism keeps going and you will continue to burn more fat so that you will have less body fat. Your BMI will be reduced. You will lose weight.
Once you get started on an exercise program, you will find it enjoyable. Morning exercise jumpstarts your day and keeps burning calories long after your exercise session is over. So don’t be afraid to exercise. There are many benefits of exercise and apart from losing weight, you will enjoy better health.
