Hi there!
Sometimes you want a change so you head to the restaurant which you know serves good food and is very popular. However, you’re worried that you will put on weight when you eat restaurant food, right?
Don’t worry. This is how you can avoid putting on weight even when you eat in restaurants. As you know, restaurant food is usually very tasty and this is because they have been fried and come with rich sauces. The trick is to eat small portions and eat slowly, savoring each bite. This way you will not eat too much. Avoid eating too much meat. They tend to be hard to digest.
You can also patronize vegetarian restaurants instead of fast food outlets. Vegetables have less calories and you can eat more. They do serve tasty food too.
Go for the salads where the vegetables are served raw. Do away with the salad dressing as they are full of calories and some can be fattening too. Select colorful vegetables, so that you will have lots of antioxidants. They will also help you to burn fat by boosting your metabolism.
Another tip is to avoid buffets, whether it’s buffet lunch or buffet dinner or hi-teas. Buffet spreads are usually calorie-rich and cooked in a lot fat.
If you really must have buffet food, then avoid the fatty food. Stick to the salads and other healthier alternatives.
You also need to be aware of how much you are eating. Stick to your portion limit and leave the rest aside. If you are sorely tempted to forget your weight loss goals, then finish what you already have on your plate and ask for the bill. Leave before you succumb to temptation.
However, if you can stick to your dietary goals and you are disciplined, eating out in restaurants is fine. You should know when to stop and what to eat. Always visualize the slim and svelte figure you would like to have and say no to fat-laden food. Then you will always be on track to lose weight.
More on how to lose weight next time!
