How do you determine your waist/hip ratio?

Just measure your waist about half an inch above your belly button and measure your hips at the biggest part of your butt. Then divide the waist measurement by the hip measurement.

A waist/hip ratio of more than 1.0 for a man and above 0.8 for a woman increases the risk for getting diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and gout.
