More Negative Calorie Food, Less Fatty Food

What is a negative calorie food?

It’s a food with low calorie level and you require more energy to eat and digest it than it contains.

For example, cold water can be considered a negative calorie food because it does not have any calories and the body has to use energy to bring it up to normal blood temperature. Thus drinking a glass of cold water would burn a few calories and help us to lose a little weight.

However we cannot go on a negative calorie diet for long as we will not be getting sufficient nutrition. Just to stay alive and to breathe requires energy and if we do not consume enough calories to burn, we will lose muscle mass as the body will burn calories from that source.

We can use the negative calorie diet to fast or to detox in our weight loss program. It should not last for more than three days. After that we should go back to normal eating, but with reduced portions.

Here are some negative calorie food which you can incorporate into your diet. Check out more information and how to use negative calorie food to lose weight here.
