This is something I’ve got to share.
As I’ve always advocated, breakfast is not to be skipped as it revs up your metabolism for the day. So here’s my one-day diet plan to share with you.
I love eggs!! Anyone who doesn’t? I usually like them half-boiled so that the yolk is still runny. So for breakfast, I have two half-boiled eggs plus a piece of whole meal bread and a cup of green tea.
This keeps me full because eggs contain protein. The green tea contains antioxidants called catechins which also speed up metabolism and fat burning. Furthermore, it also helps to reduce the bad cholesterol LDL.
Then mid morning, I nibble on an apple or pear as it contains pectin fiber which is also filling, thus it stops me from snacking.
Lunch is more vegetable based. You can have loads of salad but cut out the rich dressings. You can opt for balsamic vinegar or apple-cider vinegar as dressing or simply squirt lemon juice onto your salad. This will help you to lose weight. Don’t under-estimate the value of salads. They really fill you up and they contain lots of vitamin C too.
Mid afternoon snack can be another apple or pear. If you had an apple in the morning, then have a pear in the afternoon.
Dinner should not be too heavy. You can have lean meat, whether it’s lean beef or chicken or fish. Include more vegetables with your meat. Then I have my favourite dessert! It’s a couple of squares of dark chocolate. This I must have! My secret addiction!! Hee hee hee!!!
Drink green tea throughout the day. There is no fear of being unable to sleep. I find that if I take any other type of tea, it keeps me awake at night, but not green tea. You can take either Chinese green tea or Japanese green tea. Both are excellent. If you don’t like to take so much tea, then have plain water. Drink lots of it to keep hydrated. Besides, drinking lots of water also helps you to lose weight.
Of course I also have my other addiction!! That is a round of 9-hole golf in the mornings except the weekend, where I pull my trolley on the undulating fairways. This gives me my exercise which helps me to lose weight as well as build muscle and bone density.
This combination helps you to lose fat fast.
